MARK KLINE & STEFANO MAZZA – THE KYUSHO JITSU TANG SOO DO CONNECTION 4 at AvaiCourse
Language: English
Delivery: Digital Download
Description
GM Mark Kline addresses in this series of 5 videos the connection between Kyusho and Tang Soo Do, analyzing the applications of the 5 Pyung-An (Pinan Kata) of this Korean art.
Each Kata “hides” different teachings, not only the use of pressure points and therefore the correct techniques, the right weapons and the right angles to reach them, but also how to move, how to use energy, how to use sounds ( Kiai) and how to position yourself.
They say that kata gestures are defenses, stops and counterattacks, but in reality they are just efficient self-defense techniques with attacks on vital points, ways and possibilities to neutralize an aggressor by acting on pressure points, often lethal. When working in Kyusho, we will act on the opponent’s neurological system, which allows us not to cause serious damage to the attacker, therefore the legal aspect should not be underestimated.
In each volume, GM Kline reviews 10 Kata techniques to provide an overview of how to work the Kata Bunkai, providing a starting point and addressing the techniques that most distinguish each Kata.
Vol. 2 Pyung-An / Pinan Kata 2.
