This mini-course is a package of five videos covering almost three hours of instruction that were recorded during the summer intensive course “The Art of Influence” at Acuity World in Holt, Denmark, on August 9, 2017.
MetaPrograms are an integral part of NLP communication tools and a powerful tool for building relationships and influencing others. As natural language patterns that indicate perceptual sorting patterns, metaprograms lie in the opposition continuum, for example, between sorting by similarity or difference.
Joseph’s view of how to think, organize, and use metaprograms is unique and far more powerful than how most people learned metaprograms and learned how to use them.
Instead of thinking of metaprograms as separate and distinct, Joseph presents a unified model of how to use metaprograms at the “deep structure” level, which determine how people sort and process perceptions in front of the language.
In fact, Joseph presents such a method of working with metaprograms as a set of metaprograms that work simultaneously and create what constitutes the collective metaprogram Deep. What makes this way of thinking, organizing, and using metaprograms so powerful is that when you can identify and calibrate a deep metaprogram, you will learn something about how the person you work with creates and interacts with what he considers reality.
When you lag behind someone’s model of perceiving reality, you can deeply influence them verbally and non-verbally using the knowledge about them that you have … that they are unlikely to know about themselves!
