Al was granted a third degree black belt in Kenpo by the late Grand Master, Ed Parker. He also received a room through Larry Tatum and one fifth through Dave Hebler. Al has black bands and high levels at various styles, including Kenpo, Arnis Kali, Jitsu Ju, Hapkido, Gung-Fu and Tae Kwon DO.

He also studied Golden Gloves Boxing and the American Wrestling.

White Dragon Kenpo is not just another revised system of everything that has studied in your life. Al, being the only Caucasian in his Gung-Fu class, combined with his fierce fighting skills, he earned him the nickname “White Dragon.”

Al was very honored with this title, which is why he recently chose for his new “White Dragon” Kenpo system.

Despite studying an almost perfect art, Al continued to search for a more flexible; one that would grow with your skills. He realized that you shouldn’t just know how to box, not fight. Nor should you know how to kick and not punch.

Al felt that you could not limit yourself to any style, but develop an art created from many styles; Styles adapted to their body structure.

Through hard work and dedication, Al opened his first school in 1983 under the guidance and watching of the late Grand Master Ed Parker.
