Let’s take nutrition for example.
By now most people are familiar with the concept of flexible dieting. The idea is that for body composition purposes, the calorie/macronutrient breakdown is far more important than the source of food. To build muscle, you need to be in a calorie surplus. To lose weight, you need to be in a deficit. Simple, right?
Wrong.
While both of the above statements are true, to OPTIMIZE your body composition, you need to know more. A lot more. Do you know what your maintenance calories are?
